Bingo Basics: What You Need to Know as a Beginner

Over the years, bingo has had several game variations. From being traditionally played indoors, players have found ways in order to incorporate bingo into a busy lifestyle. Surely, the age of technology has contributed to make most of the things you’ve grown with just within arm’s reach. Hence, your favorite card game can now be played online too.

Each player buys bingo tickets corresponding to the traditional Bingo cards. Bingo tickets display the numbers 1 through 75. Each card consists of a 5×5 grid corresponding to the letters B-I-N-G-O. Once you have purchased a ticket, a tombola mixing 75 balls numbered from 1 to 75 is rolled and 30 balls are drawn out of it.

You have choices to either draw one by one automatically, or have it drawn all at once. Drawn numbers are then ticked or crossed off on the cards. A counter then displays the number of balls drawn out of the 30.

The chance of winning in a game round is increased with additional tickets used per game. Part of the cost for each ticket is added to a constantly growing jackpot whose current value is displayed at the top of the game. The jackpot is automatically updated each round of the game until it is won.

Before the game starts, a Bingo pattern will be displayed for the players to complete in order to win. Although Bingo is a game of luck, time is also an important element. The first player who gets to complete his Bingo pattern first gets the prize. The player’s card is highlighted each time a pattern is formed. When all 30 balls have been drawn, the game ends.
